12/22/06 Mommy Moon slept inside last night and we're anxiously waiting. She's huge! Too gloomy out for pictures but we'll keep you updated. Wish us luck and MERRY CHRISTMAS! |
Babies missed having a Christmas birthday by one hour!!! |
#1 BOY born at 1:02 a.m. 14 ozs. He has white front legs and white back feet. He's got a white collar that goes almost all the way around his neck and a big white tip on his tail. Which came out first by the way. :) He's all white underneath and he's got a white mark above his nose just like his mama. I think he's going to look like Tsuki Moon. |
#2 GIRL born at 2:09 a.m. 12 ozs. She's almost totally black but has white toes on her back feet and a little white stripe down her chest and tummy. No idea who she'll resemble. I'd have to guess her daddy. |
#3 BOY born at 2:22 a.m. 15 ozs. He also has a white stripe down his tummy. His tail has a tiny white tip on it. White toes in the back. His front legs have matching knee socks. He reminded me of his father the minute I saw him! |
#4 BOY born at 2:29 a.m. 15 ozs. This guy is exactly like his daddy. Right down to the socks. |
#5 GIRL born at 3:05 a.m. 12 ozs. Matching white knee socks in the front and matching white feet in the back. She's got a white tip on her tail and a white half moon on the back of her neck. |
#6 BOY born at 4:04 a.m. He's white. :) |
#7 BOY born at 4:17 am. I forgot to weigh the last two guys. Tired I guess. They're all about the same size. :) This guy is all black like his sister with only a little white on his back toes. He has a long white stripe from his chin to his tummy. |
#8 BOY born 12:55 p.m. Eight and a half hours after the last guy. He didn't survive the birth. Too long in there. :( This little white guy is at Rainbow's Bridge. |

Five boys and two girls!!! |
A very terrible accident happened. After literally days of living in the bedroom with Tsuki, to make sure all the babies came out safely, I did something really stupid. I had to leave for my paper route and I was only gone for a little over an hour before I came home to check on the babies. I had clean birthing sheets folded and stacked on a chair next to the whelping box. Tsuki knocked the sheets into the whelping box and smothered four of the babies. I tried to revive them but they wouldn't wake up. I'm so so sorry. Only three boys remain. #1, #3 & #4. The biggest pups. They may have been able to get out from under the sheets. I so questioned the Lord but there must be a reason. This is going to be a hard one to get through. So senseless. Please pray for us. |

We'll give Barb and John & Elaine the choice of a boy. They may want their deposits back or they may wait for the next litter. First deposit, first serve/pick. I'll try to take some pictures of the boys this afternoon. I just don't have it in me right now. |

Scott and Jen, over in Dousman, Wi. took Hatch home on Sunday. His new name is Raven. Cool huh? :) |

Rupert now weighs 24 ozs. Ethan 22 ozs. and Hatch is 20 ozs. They've just about doubled their weight. Tubs! |

01/11/07 Babies are 2 1/2 weeks old. Hatch was the least cooperative today. He complains until I hold him close and talk to him. Loves cuddles. I'm thinking about keeping Rupert. Pete will kill me but I'm thinkin' I might head back into the show ring??? Dunno'. |
